Adithya Raam Sankar
Adithya is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Oracle America Inc. in their Cloud Infrastructure Security team. He is currently working closely with engineering teams to execute on strategic projects for large customers. Previously, he has served as a Product Manager in the Cloud Platform space and as a Cloud Solutions Engineer helping customers to build solutions using Oracle Cloud offerings.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM University, Chennai and his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from University of Georgia, Athens (UGA). He has also served as the webmaster of UGA’s Indian Student Association with media management responsibilities. He enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and exploring new places in his spare time.
Anantha Baskaran
Anantha is a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer at Stanley Black and Decker. He is a graduate of University of Maryland College park with a degree in Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Anantha had previously been part of the board of ASEI UMD chapter and was part of Washington chapter after graduation. He loves to be playing some sport all the time.
Venkat Gurunathan
Venkat is a Cybersecurity and Privacy Consultant with PwC serving fortune 500 companies in the Banking, Health Care, and Technology sectors. He is a graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering, focusing on Cybersecurity. Venkat had previously served as the President of the ASEI University of Maryland chapter. He loves to golf in the summers and ski in the winters.
Vignesh Kannan
Vignesh works for Juniper Networks as a Resident Engineer. He currently focuses on Network Engineering, DevOps, Automation on the service provider. Vignesh was the cultural secretary for Techofes, South Asia’s biggest cultural event, during his tenure in Anna University, Guindy. Vignesh earned an undergrad degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy. and Masters degree in Telecommunications from University of Maryland College park. Vignesh has served in many nonprofit community organizations as a volunteer and as a board member.

Subhojoy Dey
Subhojoy is a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services. He is a graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park. Subhojoy is currently the Director of Media and Internal Affairs at ASEI Washington DC Chapter. During his Bachelors, he was the Vice President at Institute of Engineering and Management’s student Gymkhana. He is passionate about dancing, singing and playing the guitar.
Aanchal Mathur
Aanchal is a Health AI Developer at the MITRE corporation. She is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters in Healthcare Data Science & IT. Aanchal previously supported Capital IIT in hosting the IIT2024 Global Conference as a Volunteer Leader. Aanchal remains passionate about leadership, technology, and service to others.
Priyanka Umeshkumar
Priyanka is a Process engineer with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from SASTRA University, Tanjore and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from BITS Pilani. Priyanka is a dynamic professional with a rich background in process design, project management and engineering, and proposal development. Now, having recently made the exciting move to the US, Priyanka is embracing a phase of exploration and self-discovery, seeking new avenues to apply her expertise in innovative ways. Outside the confines of the professional realm, Priyanka is a fervent enthusiast of outdoor adventures, painting and board games.
Ved P Gupta
Ved Gupta has held several senior technical and executive positions in industry and the government in a career that spans over 40 years. He was with the US government, Lockheed Martin and with IBM, where he spent 29 years. He was also an assistant professor of electrical engineering at a state university in North Carolina for 4 years. During his career, he paid special attention to hiring and mentoring recent college graduates and made sure that they received proper technical and leadership trainings. He helped and promoted minorities and women in the corporate world. He is currently mentoring the university students with technical and career oriented skills. He has undergraduate degrees from Allahabad University and IIT Kharagpur and holds graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park.
Ajay Kothari
Dr. Ajay Kothari is President and Founder of Astrox Corporation, an Aerospace R&D company located in suburban Washington DC. His PhD and MS in Aerospace Engineering are from University of Maryland. He has been Principal Investigator or Program Manager on more than 30 contracts from Air Force, Navy, DARPA and NASA, focused on rocket and hypersonic vehicle designs, system level analysis and studies which have led to his innovative hypersonic vehicle design for the Air Force. He has been a pioneer in developing the Inward Turning Hypersonic Vehicles traveling up to Mach 10 for which a patent was granted, and which will be able to go to Low Earth Orbit more efficiently using his version of the Rocket Based Combined Cycle (RBCC) concept. He is currently working on reusable rocket transportation which would be more efficient, flexible and more cost effective. He has over 48 professional publications in peer reviewed AIAA (American Institute of aeronautics and Astronautics) journals and various AIAA, International Spaceplanes and Hypersonics, CRASTE (Commercial and Government Reusable Access to Space Technology Exchange) and JANNAF (Joint Army Navy NASA and Air Force) conferences in aerospace field.
