Us Lawmakers Urges To Grant Work Permits For Spouses Of H1-b Visa Holders.

A group of 130 US lawmakers has urged the Trump administration to grant work authorization to certain dependent spouses of non-immigrant workers holding H1-b visas. They mentioned that many of them would be on the path to permanent residency and rescinding this rule would hurt the economy of the US.

ASEI silicon valley continues its STEM program for 3rd year in a row by sponsoring top 3 awards for each high school grade 9th through 12th at the 2018 Santa Clara county science fair. Selecting twelve promising winners from over 800 entries was not easy but thanks to ASEI silicon valley board members and volunteers the excellent work of students was recognized.

On April 8th 2018, 14 students were recognized for demonstrated innovation and engineering talent while still in high school. EACH OF THEM were awarded a certificate of merit and membership to ASEI silicon valley chapter. This opens their door to opportunities for learning, scholarship, internship and access to the broader ASEI membership base for mentoring, networking and future jobs. Kudos to all winners.
