ASEI Michigan Chapter collaborated with MPower All and other organizations to bring forth an amazing opportunity for students to showcase their research/school projects for a chance to be selected for publication and/or win an award.
Michigan Chapter: Climate Change / Climate Crisis and its effects
Don’t miss this opportunity to come and listen to Professor Janice K. Means
who will give an overview of the latest and projected environmental transformations
due to climate change, answer the question “Who or What Causes Climate Change”,
and finish with a summary of how it is affecting (and will affect) the world,
the United States, and especially Michigan.
ASEI Michigan at the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit
The American Society for Engineers of Indian Origin (ASEI) Michigan Chapter is proud to participate in the Detroit Science Fair and promote STEM education for a few years in a row. This year, we will be judging projects in the following categories:
- Engineering
- Physical & Life Sciences
- Computer Science
We look for projects that demonstrate transformational & impactful technology. The themes can be related but need not be limited to New Mobility/Futuristic transportation (EVs, AVs, VToL, etc.), Sustainability, Energy Transition, Smart Cities and more.. Additionally Bio Technology, Lifesciences advancements are encouraged too.We are also interested in projects that have the potential to make a positive impact on society.
The Detroit Science Fair is a great opportunity for students to showcase their work and compete for prizes. It is also a great opportunity for students to meet with potential mentors and learn about different career opportunities in science and engineering.
Judging Criteria
ASEI uses the following criteria to judge projects:
- Creativity and innovation
- Understanding of the scientific method
- Quality of the research
- Presentation skills
- Potential impact on society
Awards
The ASEI Michigan Section will award prizes to the top projects from students who submit their projects to us through the Detroit Science Fair website
