ASEI Michigan Chapter hosts an educational discussion on the rise of maliciously tainted and counterfeit products and the US Government’s involvement.
Maliciously Tainted and Counterfeit Products are on the rise. Every day in the News, people and companies are getting in trouble for producing fake goods. From fake N95 masks to fake airplane engine parts. The US Government has noticed and is now trying to put an end to it.
This event was the 1 st Virtual Networking Session of the calendar year and it was a success!. The event started with a Presentation reminding the attendees of the Vision, Mission and Purpose of ASEI. With a new year, comes a new Chapter board. The new Executive Board members were introduced as well as the new board members. The evening continued with a warm welcome by the newly elected Board President, Lalita Kambhampati. Next, the upcoming ASEI activities were shared with the attendees The main event was an informative speech delivered by Anjali Kottha, discussing how counterfeit and tainted products are the on the rise in the United States. The US Government is highly invested in reducing these products and are requiring organizations to follow a set of guidelines to help decrease the risk. The attendees came with great questions during the post speech Q & A. The event continued with the networking portion of the evening, where the Michigan Chapter Secretary, Jhansi Reddy conducted an Ice Breaker session amongst the attendees.
