ASEI STUDENT CHAPTER LAUNCH EVENT: UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN, DEARBORN

The American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin strives to support and develop the upcoming generation of technical professionals and engineers. ASEI commits to improving the quality of life in our communities. By promoting development and economic prosperity in both developed and developing nations, ASEI seeks to give back to the community.

Following the mission, vision, and goals of ASEI, the students of the University of    Michigan-Dearborn commenced the ASEI STUDENT CHAPTER E BOARD MEMBERS 

ASEI student chapter representing the students of UM-Dearborn on the 8th of March 2024 at the Fairlane Centre North Building, Dearborn.     The ASEI board members with their sheer determination collaborated with the University of Michigan student chapter to help students boost their careers, create networking opportunities, and provide learning opportunities through discussions, panels, and events.

Dilip Paul (Dechen Consulting Group) and Rashmi Tumkur (Bosch) graced the occasion with their presence. With their inspiring words and experiences, they enlightened the audience about their experiences as international students in the USA. They shared their priceless insights on work, culture, the importance of networking, and the necessity of making decisions. Special Mention to the Dean Dr.Ghassan Kridli for his encouraging words to motivate the participants to not give up on their dreams.  Upon the speech’s conclusion, the students flooded the speakers with questions about finding a career and challenging circumstances in their fields of study.

Ritu Barkotoky, University Connect Lead with ASEI, acted as the students’ voice coordinating the event with students, guest speakers, and the ASEI team ensuring the success of the event. Muthu Sivanantham, Prior President, ASEI Michigan Chapter, Ram Ramanujam, Jwalant Lakhia played a critical role in the chapter’s conception and helped make this collaboration a reality.

The event concluded with a networking session where the participants had one-to-one conversations with the ASEI senior members and connected with them for future sessions.
