Is it Infrastructure week yet? At least the week of May 20th is an infrastructure week per the ASEI Calendar!
Infrastructure refers to the fixed assets that are essential to the everyday functioning of our econom, this include transportation, roads, bridges, sewer systems, water supply, power supply, communication and more… Post-pandemic recovery strategies of developed nations include increase spending on infrastructure investments with the goal of boosting growth in the short-term while enhancing productivity in the long-term.
Historically though infrastructure spending as a share of GDP has fallen over decades, But the recently passed Bill which eventually became BIL (Bipartisan Infrastructure Law) is a significant milestone in the infrastucture space.
